Race Day Checklist
The Necessities For A Podium Finish
Race weekend is full of ups and downs, and unexpected twists and turns. A checklist of what to bring ensures that you will have everything that you need, as well as backups for when things go south.

Parts List
The most crucial items to bring with you to the races are parts. Every race truck has a unique set of parts that all have the possibility of breaking. Some race teams have the resources to bring a whole spare race truck even! Parts that are more prone to breaking are especially important to have backups of (even backup backups). Parts that are most important to have backups of are: tires and rims, bolts and tabs, A-arms, Axels, Drive-trains, fiberglass body panels, and belts for clutches and other components. Fuel and other fluid components are also an extremely important part of the checklist!

Travel and Teams
Another very important part of the race weekend is the race team. It is important to account for every crew member's travel costs as well. The truck and parts will be traveling with a crew member or so in the semi/race trailer. While the rest of the crew will either drive or fly to the race destination. The crew will also need a place to stay during the weekend. Some semis have living quarters which can house a few people, but hotel rooms are the main resource to use for rooming. Crew members will also need food, and a form of transportation too and from the race track. While these two items on the list may be given to crew members to handle and pay for, they are still things to think about. It is usually common courtesy to house and pay for your crew members food and travel costs. The button below is linked to a website with an example of the breakdown of race weekend expenses.

Registration
Every racing series has rules on what vehicle parameters are acceptable. It is important to abide by these regulations before the race weekend. If a race truck doesn't meet the requirements of the series while being inspected at registration, the race team will not be allowed to participate in the race. Just as important, is paying your entry fees. If entry fees are not paid prior to the race, the race team will be disqualified.
