Although most trucks aren't exactly the same, we have compiled a list of the top five off-road race trucks. Each of these classes contain some of the fastest vehicles in off-road racing history. Ranking from fastest to 5th fastest, here are the top five fastest off-road race trucks.
PRO 4
Pro 4 trucks contain custom built V8 motors that can run anywhere from 700-900 hp. Ranking in as Fastest Off-road vehicle, This truck was built for high speeds, huge air time, and hard collisions with other trucks. The Pro 4 is named after its 4 wheel drive propulsion system. Which is able to produce over 1000 lbs.-foot of torque.
TROPHY TRUCK UNLIMITED
The Trophy Truck is a highly customizable, minimally regulated truck build. The Trophy Truck Unlimited class was started in 1994 and has improved greatly since then. These trucks normally contain Ford or Chevy V8 engines that generate 850-900 horsepower and 900 lbs.-foot of torque. Ranked as the 2nd fastest race truck, the Trophy Truck runs in high speed, long distance, off-road racing such as the Baja 1000, Parker 425, and the Mint 400.
PRO 2
The 3rd fastest truck is the Pro 2. This is a two wheel drive standardized chassis built truck. The Pro 2 can generate anywhere from 700-800 hp. Just like the Pro 4, this truck is raced in short course race tracks and in series such as LOORS, and COR. The Pro 2 is very similar to the Pro 4. CLASS 1 UNLIMITED BUGGY
The Class 1 is an open wheel desert racing truck. Typically containing a V8 motor, with 2 wheel drive, the Class 1 can produce 500-750 hp. Making it the 4th fastest Off-road Race Vehicle. The Class 1 is raced in Long desert races, as well as desert drag races.
PRO LITE
The Pro Lite is a V8 engine, midsize, 2 wheel drive race truck. Ranging from 450-500 hp, this is a great truck to transition to the Pro 4 and Pro 2 classes. The Pro Lite is raced in short course events, and is one of the most populated classes in the LOORS.
