Husband, Father, Racer: Rick Huseman
Rick Huseman was one of the best offroad racers of his time. He worked with brother Danny all the way up from a Ford Ranger racer in the desert series, to Pro Lite then to Pro 4 in the Lucas Oil and COORS racing series. From the start Rick won races and gained a lot of attention. Unfortunately Rick's racing career was cut short. He died at the young age of 38.

Family and Home Life
Rick Huseman started his racing career with his brother Danny and with the support of his at the time girlfriend Michelle. Rick was known as a quiet family man until it came to racing. He and his wife got married a few years after meeting, and had a son named Little Ricky in 2010. Rick Huseman was a great husband and an excellent father. Becoming a great example to his child, and a provider to his whole family.

Racing
The Traxxas Radio Control and Monster Energy Machine, driven by Rick Huseman have seen more accomplishments than most race trucks. Rick Huseman as well as achieved more than most racers could have hoped to in such a short time span. In the 14 years that Rick Huseman raced, he won 50 races in the Lucas Oil Offroad Racing Series and over 30 wins in the COORS series. He also won a series championship in the TORC series championship in 2009 and the LOORS series in 2010. Rick was also recognized as the Driver of The Year by Race Dezert in 2010. With so much accomplished in such little time, there's no telling what Rick Huseman could have done and could still be doing, if he were with us today.

The Full Story
Rick Huseman died on October 16th, 2011 in a plane crash on his way home with his brother from to California from a race in Las Vegas, Nevada. The Beechcraft 33 Bonanza started having engine troubles mid-flight. At this time Rick called his mother to tell her about the problem and to say his goodbyes. The plane crashed as the pilot tried to make an emergency landing at a nearby airport. Rick Huseman died that day and will be forever remembered in racing history.
